Next week: Victoria Bitter Dead Bat Trethowan Open
Late Mail Sunday- Flemington Race 3 No. 7 - All of me
Too busy to write anything funny.
This horse was backed this week to win the Blue Diamond. If it is any chance of being competitive against Bel Espirit, it will win this race running backwards. Last start it was butchered by Prebble.
Don't forget to back the Aussies in the cricket, in fact if you haven't already, back them to finish top of the table. This weeks cricket bets: South Africa to win, Australia to win, South Africa-Australia double, Boof high bat, Gilchrist fastest fifty
Best on Breeding Adelaide Race No 7 - Presumed Innocent
Danehill filly. Awesome run last start. Expect her to win and then come to Melbourne for the Blue Diamond.
Down In Class Spesh The Warwick Farm meeting on Saturday has been renamed 'DICS Day'. There's a few running around. Lonhro, the potential 2002 Cox Plate runner up (behind Gordo) resumes. It should win, but 1200 isn't his distance, and there's still a bigger DICS. Melbourne dud Tie The Knot and potential Cox Plate 3rd, Viscount (in a Hawkes trifecta) both resume and would be a DICS on any other week, but they are also over the not-preferred 1200, and they do meet the only horse to ever beat potential Thousand Guineas/Cox Plate/Caulfield Cup/Melbourne Cup winner Unwordly prior to her untimely death. Therefore, there is still one bigger DICS. My most hated trainer, Gai, is starting the gun 3YO filly Ha Ha. Pumper Cassidy got her over the line and well in front of Magic Albert last start with some fierce whipping. She was a sore horse, but will have recovered by now. She will be very short, and to get value, I'd advise to take her in an Exacta with up and coming gun The Big Chill. It should finish a short half head second behind Ha Ha. |
